Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture & Lifeways
Mt Pleasant, MI
The Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture & Lifeways is a nonprofit American Indian museum and cultural center located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Founded in 2004, the Ziibiwing Center is a distinctive treasure created to provide an enriched, diversified and culturally relevant educational experience. The center's mission promotes the belief that the culture, diversity and spirit of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan and other Great Lakes Anishinabek must be recognized, perpetuated, communicated, and supported. This is accomplished through an interactive permanent exhibit, changing exhibits, research center, cultural education programs, membership, volunteer program, and outreach opportunities in history, language, song and dance.
