Historic Fourth Ward School
Virginia City, NV
The Historic Fourth Ward School, constructed in 1876, is an excellent example of Second Empire architecture, popular during the Victorian era in the United States. Since 1986, it has served as a museum and as an accessible community cultural center through a diversity of quality programs and events that tell the real story of the Old West. Permanent exhibits address local history, journalism, printing, mining, education, and Comstock alumni.
