Massachusetts Horticultural Society
Wellesley, MA
Massachusetts Horticultural Society (MassHort) was founded in 1829, and is "dedicated to encouraging the science and practice of horticulture." What does that mean for our members and supporters today? It means MassHort brings people and plants together- at our 10 gorgeous gardens at our headquarters in Wellesley, at the New England Spring Flower Show, and with our collaboration in downtown Boston. MassHort has built a top-notch education program including the Master Gardener program, classes and camps for adults and kids at MassHort, and the Plantmobile program which brings science education to kids in grades K-8. MassHort also houses a hidden jewel: our lending library and archives, which boasts over 40,000 seed catalogs, practical plant and garden design reference books, and a comprehensive garden history collection. Come, Learn, Grow with us - by visiting our gardens, enjoying one of our classes, or volunteering at the Flower Show!
