Located at 399 Biesterfield Rd in Elk Grove Village, the Farmhouse Museum was established in 1976. The Farmhouse Museum provides a look at pioneer living in the 1860 - 1900 time period. The house dates to the 1850's and was originally part of the Schuette Farmstead. The Museum specializes in the history of the Elk Grove area and the development of Elk Grove Village. Open year round, the Museum offers tours, history related programs, exhibits, and assistance with research on Elk Grove Village and the Elk Grove Village area. Come experience pioneer living in the 1860's with crafts, games, exhibits and demonstrations.
