Alaska
The Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum is located in Anchorage Alaska, on the
south shore of Lake Hood, the busiest seaplane base in the world during the
summer months. The museum's mission is to "preserve, display, and honor
Alaska's aviation heritage". This is accomplished through preservation and
display of historic aircraft, aviation artifacts, and art. The museum is
also home to the 'Alaska Aviation Hall of Fame' and has a growing education
program that reaches out to residents and school districts statewide.
